w oldest band This is the oldest Peatbog picture known. From left to right....Peter, Davie Tait, Innes, Alan Edmonds and Neil 'McBeat' Campbell. Apart from McBeat who was standing in for Ali, this is the very first beginnings of the band
This is the line up that first made the big step of playing off Skye. And it went on to record 'Mellowosity' and 'Faerie Stories'. The picture was taken in about 1995, though judging by Ali's Biggles style moustache it could be mistaken for the 1920's. w waterfall ancient
w africa ancient This is the band on a short safari during a break in Namibia. With Nuradin at the back, from left to right the line up in David Town, Ali Pentland, Peter, Innes, Ben Ivitsky and Iain.
Nurudin didn't need a beach in Spain to look like a tourist. This is rare shot of him without his wee hat. It might have been the first time Peter and Innes seen his head  w beech ancient
w ali innes ancient This picture of Ali and Innes was taken in Shadracks bar in Namibia. With beer coming in at 15p per bottle Innes can't be blamed for drinking till he got the horrors.
Ben and Nurudin in Shadracks bar. In normal circumstances Nurudin didn't drink alcohol but he made a major exception here. Ben always looked his best in a disguise. w ben norman ancient
w iain ancient This is a picture of Iain not long after he joined the band in 1995. This was taken on the ferry on our way to play at a ceilidh on Eigg. Gigs in the small Isles have always been very popular with most of the Scottish folk musicians.
This is a truly ancient picture of Innes having a go at the banjo during the formative years. This was probably taken back in about 1993. w innes ancient
w peter ancient And this is a picture of Peter having a go of the sax round about the same time. Luckily he realized his limitations and didn't pursue it any further.
This picture was taken at Glastonbury in 2000. Ali got a bit too close to these mushrooms and left the band shortly afterwards. w ali ancient
